At
Rose Hill, you must
try
rose water chocolate,
see
Possession Sound
the
color of storms.
At
Rose Hill, you must
try
lavender cheesecake,
see
the white caps
cupping
evergreen rain.
At
Rose Hill, you must
try
Bangalore spice,
see
the lighthouse,
see
the shore,
see
the thunderbirds rich with lore.
At
Rose Hill, you must
try
yellow curry, coconut milk,
see
Hat Island,
taste
cinnamon dust.
At
Rose Hill, you must.

Mukilteo is a city on the coast of
Washington and a favorite of my family with its spectacular views, scrumptious chocolate,
bold Northwest Coast art, fine restaurants, and delightful atmosphere.
This is a treat - beautiful seascape images interwoven with lovely tastes and fragrances and colors. The repetition is a wonderful refrain cascading through the piece.

ReplyDeleteI really love this, the descriptions are wonderful, but most of all I love how you left the must in that last line hanging.
