A Moment at Twilight

This poem may not hold up
to the elements,
in fact it may
float away with the cherry blossoms,
bleed away with the swell of the sea,
wash away with the rain.
But I wrote it
and you read it
and for the moment
that is enough.

I began this poetry blogging journey three years ago in May and it has been a most enjoyable experience. I have enjoyed the work of many talented poets, writers, photographers, and artists of many types and I am grateful to you all for sharing yourselves through your work, and for your support of and interest in mine. I'll be taking a break from blogging for a while and this site will be going into hibernation. My plan is to return some months from now. My email address, poetlaundry@gmail.com, will continue to remain active. Take care and enjoy your journey!

I happy for you on the new "leg" of your journey! It's been a blessing to see you start your first blog, write, rewrite, rewrite again :) and post (often with much trepidation) and I really do treasure being able to see your writing and the glimpse it provides to a special part of you. Nice work babe, you've done great and I'm going to miss reading your posts... -your biggest fan, Thor

In hope
I step aside
from this time of writing
for those minds that read in wonder.
Honored.

__We (I) will miss visiting your blog, and your thoughts... Rest well and return quickly. _m, Doug.

As you know, Jennifer, I have taken a couple of breaks from blogging. I seem to feel the need, from time to time, to shut down and start all over again (in fact, I'm currently on my fourth blog). A break is good - though I hope to see you back again in the not-too-distant-future. Thank you so much for your incredible support over the years (can you believe it "years"). It was wonderful in those early days to know that you (and often "only you") as you say in your poem: read something that I wrote . . . that was enough. All the best to you and your family.

You are so talented and I hope you are enjoying your time away. I may need to take a break or two soon as we are making a few changes in our life as well. You are so very talented and one of my favorite poets.
