For dVerse Form for All: The Hidden Poetry in Books. I went a totally different way with this than
I thought I would. It’s more of a list type
of poem, but it’s where my muse lead.
Books are from our
family library: The Red Pony by John
Steinbeck, The Hunt for Red October and Red Rabbit by Tom Clancy, The Red
Pyramid by Rick Riordan, Redwall by Brian Jacques, Where the Red Fern Grows by
Wilson Rawls, The Red Badge of Courage by Stephen Crane and The Signature of
Jesus by Brennan Manning.

Great job baby - what a thought provoking poem, I love it!
This is quite fascinating...with all of the 'red' titles!
Nicely done. I'm impressed with all the red. I like the title and the complementing (black&white) photo.
I love this one. And I happen to be wearing red today. :) Peace, Linda
Wow!! Small poems yet too powerful and chosen!
Oh..quite an interesting way to lead your muse..good one :)
oh wow... all the red and then the blood of christ in the last line...this is amazing..
This totally rocks! I LOVE IT!
well done.. that was nicely thought out...
oh really cool build in this...building the reds that lead up to jesus' sacrifice...that is awesome...well played....
great thinking... and what a bunch of titles with red..
Oh, very cool!
Colour-coded in black and white: very refreshing with a coup de grace.
Stunning - that close is perfect at the end of this list poem.
I too like all the red titles ~ But the last verse is perfect ~
Very creative. And I love the photo too. You did surprise me with the last line!
Powerful last verse to sum it all!
Very interesting build from pony to Jesus! I started thinking of other "Red" books from my shelves, and only added "The Red Tent."
I love how red cascaded in your poem to the glorious end! Bravo Jennifer!
Such a strong, creative write and your close is just perfect!
This is absolutely wonderful! That ending title is the clencher. I really like that the pic's in black and white, too.
I loved this and I especially loved the ending. Wow.
Simply powerful!
That is really good - the contrast between all the other reds and the final line makes the ending particularly powerful.
A just tribute to Tom Clancy. He leaves behind a vacant patch. The contrast between Steinbeck and Clancy is amusing. Happy that you spent time thinking about the great ones.
Nicely done!
and the band Simply Red, and the song Red Red Wine.... thoughtful assemblage, Jennifer
the red theme is compelling and your closure is terrific! love this.
Cool!
Very fun!!!
