snowdrops splashing
like citrus squeezed
onto feathered ice
---
snowdrops
dripping from the tongue
of the moon
---
sleigh bells
and a hush of snow
almost silent night
---
sleigh bells jingling
even the snowman
smiles and waves
---
the sky flinging snow today
just to hear
children laughing again

Ah........... you have taken me on a lovely walk in the new fallen snow! I especially enjoyed the silence and the 'snowdrops dripping from the tongue of the moon.' Merry Christmas!
Totally delightful...can picture children's fun in the snow...and the snowman waving. Very light-hearted.
Ooooo the third one down is my favorite. Gorgeous set.

Merry Christmas WabiSabi! Glad you came along :-)
Thanks Bodhirose...I love watching children play in the snow--it's such a magical time.
I think maybe it is the best 'true form' haiku of the set. I am amazed at your writing Lolly, you nail it with your haiku. And I think your 'little red boots' for the prompt is uniquely brilliant.
The field is definitely wide open with this one...thank you!
What wonderful imagery
Thank you RP.
Lovely set. I like the third one best. Seasons greetings :)
I find the snowdrops dripping from the tongue of the moon enchanting!
