Down Deep

a summer rain
a giggle in your sleep

crying, the good kind

the smell of coffee
the first sip

breaking the last of anything
in two
giving away the bigger piece

the end of a good book
the beginning of it

you,
me,
you,
me

tumble,
taste,
tumble,
taste

mango
tangerine
soil
sand
roots

Wonderful!!! and, yes, so down deep: a beautiful piece. Love your writing (to say nothing of your gracious support of mine, over these years) and left a brief message in response to your congrats on my blog. Smiles.

Ah the good kind of crying. And is there anything better than that first sip of morning coffee??

three is so much promise in the beginning of a book....and satisfaction hopefully in the end...ah and i love my coffee....this really picks up for me when you shorted the lines the second half....very nice

what a wonderful tumble pictured here. it would be quite easy to get lost in each of these tiny moments...especially when there is someone there to share it with.
