ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful poem to accompany a beautiful picture! Here's to summer. I think it has arrived AT LAST here!
ReplyDeleteLovely picture and I love the way you worked it around your words a colour and feel for the seasons!
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed reading this very much….simply brightened my day.
ReplyDeleteI'm drowning in these sweet bliss-filled words and image!
ReplyDeleteAs you know, I do love a touch of rhyme. And what better place for it than in a welcome-to-summer meadowdance. "leave lipstick on winter" - what a metaphor for the tired old thing.
ReplyDelete...aww... this is outstanding Jennifer! your economy of words are truly excellent... & i loved it! smiles...
ReplyDeleteA fun piece!
ReplyDeleteThis read like a song. So sweet! And the pic made me want to jump into the computer and run through the fields! :)
ReplyDeletebeautiful, fun write. i love it when the wildflowers bloom, they are so exuberant in their brief gloy. This could be anywhere, but looks exactly like the meadow above the Sunrise ranger station on Mt Rainier in washinmgton, looking toward Burroughs Mountain, with those little stands of Engleman spruce on the ridge.
ReplyDelete"Leave lipstick on winter" is a wonderful phrase. Well done on a beautiful poem!
ReplyDelete"lipstick on winter..." --love it!
