Speak soft-
petaled
twilight
against my
shoulders, tanned
and salty,
from a day rippling
with sun.
Envelop me,
with your mouth, cool
with mint
and cucumber,
our purpling
kiss,
perfumed.

I didn't notice a typo earlier! I guess I was too busy soaking in the beauty of the image and words. :)

Simply enchanting, just reading this on a rainy day makes me feel like I am there basking in the sun.
A purpled kiss.. could it be better... great cinquain with summer and love in it...
Relaxing, wish I was away in the sun with someone... Beautiful poetry!

Sorry to have missed your recent work. This is a beauty in words and the senses :)
how I loved the freshness of this... lovely read
I have a soft spot for cinquains and variations of them; this one is really good. I especially like the way the two wings of the butterfly contrast with each other in their imagery, but end up hot ... smiles
...what an excellent end Jennifer... purpling kiss perfumed... loved it... smiles...
