For Carpe Diem: horsetails.  Celebrating my 100th post, and since I am a cowgirl at heart this is perfect. :-)

congrats on 100! definitely a sweet little verse. I wouldn't mind a little "spring horsetails," but winter just doesn't seem quite ready to ride off into the sunset.

100 posts. A real accomplishment - and (I know) a wonderful feeling. I started a couple of years ago with "write 100 poems - FINALLY" - on my bucket list. I forget most of what else was on that list, but I found my passion and can't stop writing poetry. It is a lovely place to go to in this world (often, I find, meditative and spiritual) - and you go there so beautifully, Jennifer . . . 100 times (so far) and counting.

I congratulate you on 100 posts, Jennifer. Well done.

I loved your reference to John Wayne in this short poem. Had to go look up horsetails, but I'm always happy to learn a thing or two.

All the best as you continue writing. I enjoy your site. ~Lori

If the Duke can't do, they're going to have to just stay wild. Congratz on your 100th post! I looked the other day at my blog dashboard and it said "666 posts published." Scary. ;_)

Wild horsetails grow behind wild horses. They make fine bow-hair for violin players ("Don't touch the hair!")

If I tried to grow some tame horsehairs, they'd probably die. Smiles!

Congrats on the 100th! The horsetails are buried in snow here!
