Hope is My Favorite Shadow

My favorite shadow
leaves me
to climb its own trees.
And when it returns
it bears gifts,
whispering
as I sleep,
pillow to ear,
what my dreams forget
when the view down here
is not so clear.

The is so adroitly done, and so pleasing. So that's what benevolent shadows do when we're not looking.

lovely. sad that a favorite shadow should disappear, but if it brings back gifts...especially when it helps to reacquaint you with lost dreams.

Nicely expressed wise tidbit of truth and wisdom. I don't think we could survive without hope.
