Poetry by Jennifer Wagner. From grit to sparkle.
Think of yourself
like April.
Everyone waiting for you to arrive,
one hand on your hip,
throwing blossoms
over your shoulder with the other.
And you saying, “Damn, I’m good.”

NPM Day 12
I LOVE this! I cant tell you how much, as I was grieving. Brilliant.
This is absolutely beautiful Jennifer! It makes me feel so good!
Perfect!
Terrific image!!!
You mean you don't do this as a matter of routine? ;-) I always say that Pomp & Circumstance should be played whenever I enter a room. People just won't cooperate though. Philistines! LOL
Now THAT'S confidence. 😀
I shall claim that confidence! Love this poem!
I can imagine it! Spicy and I love it!
I just love, love, love this poem. April has an attitude--and it is well deserved!!
Sassy and strong!
I see April like this, and smiled as if I could be she!
Thank you for your thoughts!
