Fatigue

On the shower wall
this morning
I saw
a baby chick, mouth open.

On the other,
the curve of a question mark
without the dot.

I'm growing my hair out;
loose, wet strands land in shapes
of my own mind's making.

But you
may have seen something else

instead of these
unfinished questions,

answers not yet forming,
and time
turning

the water cold.

Answers not yet forming...and time turning the water cold. Great lines.

Perception is such a nebulous process - indistinct, often incomplete, altered by time and mood ... and yet we live our lives by it, though, it often can be as fatiguing as trying to nail jelly to a wall.

Others will think what they'll think. Meanwhile, our own world still has baby birds and weird punctuation.

Brilliant. I love your poetry. Wish I'd written this.

I like this! Hoping that you always have enough warm water to sort through the thoughts of the day...
