the best bouquet

smells like
            globs
            of glue

stuck to
            crumpled
            red tissue paper
on
green pipe cleaners

held
in a chubby fist

just below
a
look-what-i-made-for-you

            grin

The gift of giving, steps far beyond the >gift<. and each >gift< is held as life.

birthday gift
made by this giver's hand
a time mark

This looks like a Mother's Day present. It makes me smile when I see our old ones at my parents' house.

I love how you word things, e.g., globs of glue. This whole poem is wonderful! Truly enjoyed reading it.
