strawberry cream
and mint
renaissance girls,
spring’s popsicle juleps,

and the deer’s delight—
who wait
for the slumbering
of the gardener-knight

Ah - in my garden the deer are more like the fierce dragons - feeding on my tulips.

This poem made me feel very spring-ish. Good start to my Saturday morning. And the Julep line made me think of Mint Juleps since today is KY Derby Day!
