I’m kind

of tired

of all this

drizzle drivel.

If you please,

tease

me with your

lazy blue wing.

I need to sing

sun lullabies,

cat curled

round my feet

in the heat,

a purr, a giggle,

in my sleep.

On Lake Chelan at Dusk

Drop another pebble in,

splash—dimple,

sink—ripple,

out to bluer, deeper water,

where the moon drops,

golden-soft, like a whisper

                        I want

to hear again

and again

and again.
